Architect
The Architect is responsible for the management of project lifecycle from schematic design
through construction administration. The incumbent will be the lead in various projects as well
as the Architectural Design, Code Analysis, detailing, etc. He/she will lead Provide marketing,
sales support and presentations, as needed.
Roles and Responsibilities
Financial Controls
• Coordination with stakeholders and clients at all phases to ensure production of contract documents are aligned with design intent
• Provides quarterly, year-end, and management and other financial reports and analyses as per required instructions for management decision making;
• Main contact for coordination between teams, consultants and clients
• Responsible for ensuring that production of construction documents is in concert with design intent, within project schedules
• Interface UHGL clients as well as permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
• Work with teams in developing site and building design alternatives
• Work with the technical stakeholders to lead the technical team and consultants to ensure that construction documents accurately interpret the intended design
•Resolve complex technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative technical/constructible solutions •Prepare and modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, as directed by others utilizing AutoCAD and Revit Building Information Modelling (BIM)
• Assist in developing project scope, plan, and services and during the contract process
•Provide technical leadership and documentation coordination including development of design drawings, technical documentation, and leading project team assignments
• Direct production of schematic, design development and construction documents
• Communicate regularly to Management and the project team with updates, for example, of the status of each project, potential issues on site, changes in schedule or budget
• Demonstrates understanding of the architectural design process and integration of design concepts with ability to develop design element components
Education and Experience • Master's Degree in Architecture
•Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering, Construction Design or related technical discipline.
• Licensed as a Registered Architect will be an added advantage
Experience Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role. Knowledge • AutoCad, Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp
• Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Excel, SketchUp and other 3D sketch software, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite
• Advanced knowledge of the design process, construction documentation, construction administration
• Good knowledge of sustainable building design • Understands project management process and can apply project management software skills
