The role is responsible for the provision of safety checks, installation, repairs, calibration and preventive maintenance to hospital and other electronic equipment. Provide technical assistance to staff on the usage of the various types of equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Take initiatives to respond to, resolve and follow up on customer issues in a timely manner.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance and electrical safety tests of biomedical equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations applicable codes and policies.
• Main contact for coordination between teams, consultants and clients
• Inform supervisor of the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and any other concerns
• Complete work orders and applicable documentation in a timely manner.
• Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan including all regulatory agency compliances and other applicable policies and procedures.
• Work with, direct, and document the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and other service technicians to ensure proper service delivery •Install medical and related technical equipment supplied by company to hospitals, medical and research facilities for use by physicians, nurses, scientists, or engineers involved in researching, monitoring and diagnosing and treating patients.
• Repair, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment and instrumentation supplied by company to be used in health facilities by using hand-tools, power tools, measuring devices, and knowledge of manufacturers' manuals, troubleshooting techniques, and preventive-maintenance schedules.
•Provide weekly reports on activities within the department including client visit reports.
• Perform any other function/task as and when assigned by management.

Key Performance Indicators
Education and Experience
Bsc in Biomedical Engineering
•Minimum of HND in Biomedical Engineering or other related field
• Professional certification in any medical equipment will be an advantage
Experience Minimum of two ( 3-5) years’ experience in a similar position.
